Canberra Multicultural Volunteer Expo (CMVE) is an initiative aims at building bridges between the Canberra multicultural community with organisations either providing services to them and/or looking at volunteers from a culturally diverse background.

About the event
With support provided from regional volunteering peak body and organisations from diverse background, this new platform enable ACT multicultural community, fresh migrant, international student, visiting academic and anyone who choice Canberra as their destination to gain valuable volunteer opportunities with relevant knowledge, skills and services.
CMVE is looking forward to connect more Canberrans together and contribute its effort in help more people with knowledge and skills for them to become contributor to the greater ACT communities.
CMVE aims at:
•Promote equality of opportunity to enhance social cohesion
•Help Canberrans from diverse backgrounds and languages find suitable organizations to lower cultural and linguistic barriers
•Minimize social exclusions by actively connect volunteer organizations, sponsors, stallholders and government together for culturally diverse Canberrans
•Provide relevant and valuable training and share volunteer experiences to help volunteers get prepared for upcoming volunteer jobs
Your organisation can participated in the following ways:
•Take an information stall at CMVE
•Perform a volunteer experience sharing public forum with guest speakers
•Run a seminar or training workshop with volunteering essential knowledge or skills
•Provide volunteers to assist the expo on the day
•Promote CMVE within your community and circle of influence
•Other necessary assist to the expo
